Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry looked to be back in top form in Monday's Game 2 against the Denver Nuggets, shimmying his way to a game-high 34 points on 12-of-17 shooting off the bench in a 126-106 victory. The Warriors outscored the Nuggets by a whopping 32 points in Curry's 23 minutes.

However, the way Curry tells it, he's still feeling some pain in that left foot after missing the last few weeks of the regular season:

You certainly wouldn't know it by watching Curry so far against Denver. While his first game back was a bit quieter (16 points on 5-of-13 shooting), he still made a major impact as the Warriors outscored the Nuggets by 17 in his 22 minutes. Then came Monday night, which featured Curry in all his glory. 34 points in 23 minutes off the bench in his second game back from injury is just silliness.

Based on Curry's comments and how effective he has been off the bench, it wouldn't be a surprise to see this experiment continue for a little longer. It's true that Golden State hasn't gotten off to the best starts in games with Curry on the bench, but it hasn't mattered at all because of the destruction that occurs when he comes in. In this series at least, it seems as if the Nuggets just don't have the firepower or defense to keep up. Because of this, keeping Curry's minutes down is a smart play, at least as long as the Warriors continue winning games with ease.
