The petty king is back! This time Stephen Curry responded to Grant Williams, who earlier said the Golden State Warriors were not the better team in the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.
Speaking in The Long Shot podcast, Williams reiterated his belief that the Celtics were just as good if not better than the Warriors in their showdown. After all, they took a 2-1 lead early on and appeared to be on their way to a dominant series win. However, the Boston forward admitted the Dubs had the advantage on one thing: discipline.
“I still will say confidently, confidently, to this day, [the Warriors] weren't the better team. I would say they were the more disciplined team. I would say that without a doubt,” Williams explained, via ClutchPoints Twitter.
Of course Stephen Curry saw what could only be described as a rather bold take of a player from the losing team. However he didn't answer it directly and trolled Grant Williams instead. On Instagram he shared a photo of his new haircut and captioned it with “a very discipline cut” along with a scissor emoji.
Well, guess it's time to give Curry's barber the Larry O'Brien trophy!
Jokes aside, though, the Warriors sharpshooter sure knows how to respond. They have already won the championship, so he really didn't need to answer Williams' take. Nonetheless, he's a champion and a competitor, so he's not letting them have the last laugh.
Perhaps this could inspire Curry to deliver more hot takes when he takes the mic for the ESPYs? The Celtics better be ready for some heat!
