Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry will be fined $50,000 for tossing his mouthpiece at referee Scott Wall on the dying seconds of the Saturday's 10-point loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, according to USA TODAY Sports' Sam Amick. Curry will not face a suspension, but his teammate Andre Iguodala will be fined $15,000 for yelling at the officials.

This isn't Curry's first mouthpiece-throwing incident, as he was fined $25,000 following Game 6 of the NBA Finals, when he tossed it into the stands.

Curry had apologized after the game, saying the toss was in frustration and there was no intent to hit Wall with it during the game. The league office could not prove any ill intent to hit the referee, thus making $50,000 the maximum fine possible.

Kevin Durant, who was ejected from the game along with Curry, flashes his ring finger at the ref following his ejection — giving the league very few grounds in which to fine him or suspend him.

The Warriors will take on the Dallas Mavericks on the road tonight, before embarking in a three-game home stand against the Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, and the Detroit Pistons.

Swingman Klay Thompson has pledged to donate $1,000 for every point he scores in the three-game home stretch to benefit victims of the North Bay wildfires.
