The Golden State Warriors are in Tinseltown Wednesday for a scheduled showdown with the Los Angeles Lakers. The game itself doesn’t need any much more hyping since it involves two of the most popular NBA franchises today, but it still helps NBC sell this matchup by capitalizing on the intriguing head-to-head of two-time MVP Stephen Curry and Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball.

But juxtaposing Curry’s shooting mechanics with Ball’s during warm-ups probably wasn’t the brightest idea to do just that.

Apart from having an obnoxious father, Ball’s garnered a ton of attention because of his crude-looking jump shot that you don’t expect to see from a professional basketball player. Then again, some players manage to slip through the cracks despite ugly shooting forms. Perhaps people wouldn’t be all over Ball’s form if it wasn't for his 24.5 percent shooting from behind the arc this season and 30.9 percent field goal shooting percentage.

As for Curry, no one has any business making even the slightest criticism of his shot. Curry is a career 43.5 3-point shooter and has already cemented his place as one of the best shooters in the history of NBA.

In what is looking like a surprise twist in the making, Ball has shot better from the 3-point area than Curry in the game as of this writing. Ball is 3-of-6 from long range, while Curry is just 1-of-5. Whoah.
