The Tennessee Titans have made it pretty clear that quarterback Marcus Mariota isn't in their future plans. Mariota is set to be a free agent this offseason, which means he is going to have his choice of where he wants to sign.

Let's break down a few teams that might make sense for the former first-round pick to sign with.

Chicago Bears

A lot of where Marcus Mariota wants to go depends on what role he wants. Does he want a role where he comes in as the starter, or is he okay competing for a job? If he is okay competing for a job, the Bears would make a lot of sense. If the Bears don't bring in some type of competition for Mitchell Trubisky, they are doing it all wrong.

Trubisky has shown some flashes of being the quarterback of the future for the Bears, but he has shown a lot more reasons why he isn't the future.

Matt Nagy is a great offensive coach and maybe he could get the best out of Mariota. If he proved he deserved to be the starter, he could be the quarterback of the future of the Bears.

Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are going to have a high draft pick which they may select a quarterback with, but if they don't find one they love, maybe it would make sense to go with Marcus Mariota.

The Dolphins still have a long way to go to start competing again, but this might not actually be a four or five-year rebuild. They have shown flashes of being a decent team, and maybe they are only missing a couple of pieces.

This might be only for a year or two, but depending on who the Dolphins draft, he could be the starter.

Baltimore Ravens

If Mariota is okay with being a backup quarterback, the team that probably makes the most sense is the Baltimore Ravens. Mariota isn't as explosive with his legs as Lamar Jackson, but he could fill in playing the same system if their star quarterback was to go down with an injury.

When Drew Brees went down with an injury earlier this season, Teddy Bridgewater filled in and probably earned himself a large long-term deal.

If Jackson were to go down with an injury, Marcus Mariota could step in and if he played well that might be enough to get him a long-term deal going forward.
