The Chicago White Sox have had a challenging start to the 2024 season. Chicago possesses a 15-37 record, which places them last in the AL Central. Moreover, designated hitter Eloy Jimenez is battling some untimely injury woes. Jimenez revealed his frustration with his latest setback to reporters on Saturday.

We have so many questions that we don't have the answers [to] yet. We're going to keep working. It sucks it happens but at the end of the end…I'm not just gonna sit here and be sorry for myself. [We'll] find the answer and keep working,” Jimenez said when asked what he and the staff can do to keep him on the field, per Chicago Sun-Times' Kyle Williams.

Jimenez is dealing with a hamstring hamstring injury that is expected to see him miss roughly a month. It seems as though the 27-year-old cannot catch a break. He missed 12 games in April due to an adductor strain and has had several injuries that have hampered his ability in past seasons.

Nevertheless, the White Sox will do everything they can to help Eloy Jimenez recover from his injury woes so he can contribute again. The sixth-year Sox hitter has batted a .231 average. hit five home runs, been responsible for 12 RBI, and holds an OPS of .668 in 34 regular season games.

If Jimenez can get healthy, he will provide a notable boost to Chicago's struggling offense. The White Sox suffered a series sweep to the New York Yankees before losing two of their three against the Toronto Blue Jays the following week.

Chicago is amid another tough challenge with the Baltimore Orioles, where they hope to build momentum before rematching the Blue Jays.

White Sox look to find a spark amid struggles

Eloy Jimenez is not the only player recovering from injury. Luis Robert Jr. is eyeing a comeback from a hip ailment, and Pedro Grifol gave a promising outlook on Robert's status as the team enters the last week of the month.

The Sox manager is already developing a plan for Robert once he is feeling ready to go.

“He'll play a couple more games in Arizona, and I think on Sunday, he'll head to Charlotte – God willing, everything continues to go well,” Grifol said, via MLB.com “He'll have that Minor League day off on Monday, get a workout in and then he'll start playing his Charlotte games on Tuesday.

“We'll see after that,” Grifol concluded. “I think probably by the middle of next week or something like that, he'll be cleared with his leg, and then it becomes ABs and timing and stuff like that.”

It is great to hear the 26-year-old taking steps toward coming back amid his team's struggle. Chicago's schedule will not get any easier as they prepare to close out the month. Grifol and company must find a way to spark momentum during their cold streak.

If there is one thing the White Sox can control during this tough stretch, it is effort and attitude. Chicago looks to press the gas as their June campaign prepares to begin.
