The Los Angeles Lakers lost their first game of the season on Tuesday night against the Golden State Warriors, 121-114.

This was the first regular season game that we've seen the Lakers Big 3 of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook play together. LeBron did King things on the season opener, finishing with 34 points and 11 rebounds, while Davis had a stellar performance with 33 points and 11 rebounds.

Unfortunately, the newly added Russell Westbrook had just eight points and was 4-of-13 from the field.

While it was not the best performance from the Lakers, and not the Purple and Gold expected when they acquired Westbrook in the offseason, it's still too early to panic and make a big deal out of the performance and eventual result.

A team with these three will always find a way to figure it out. There is a reason why most bookmakers have given the Lakers the second-best odds to win the NBA championship.

There are several reasons why Laker fans should not worry about the game and the regular season. Westbrook had one of the worst performances that he is going to have all year in a game where LeBron and Davis both had 30-plus points. It would be shocking to see Westbrook only have eight points in the future.

Had Westbrook played his part against the Warriors, the Lakers would have won the game.

Frank Vogel went with some interesting lineups in the opener, but with the lack of 3-point shooting and the fact that most of these players never played together before, the struggles are to be expected early on for the Lakers. Once Vogel figures out a steady lineup for this LA team, they will be better.

When they have about 20 games under their belt, they should have nothing to worry about.

The Lakers might not be a great regular-season team, and that's fine for them. This team is old but if they can stay healthy, they certainly have a legitimate chance of winning the 2021-22 NBA championship.

The biggest concern of this Lakers team is just getting into the playoffs while staying healthy throughout the regular season. After all, they have learned last campaign that they should 100% when the postseason comes since there will be no easy opponents right from the first round.

Anything that happens in the regular season is just repetition for this Lakers team. They're poised to make a big run come playoff time.

The Lakers will face off against the Phoenix Suns on Friday. Phoenix was the team who knocked out the Lakers last year in the first round of the Western Conference Finals.

Can they bounce back? Can Russell Westbrook play better? It's hard to say, but if there's one thing certain: they won't go down without a fight.
