Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal exited the team's game against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night after suffering a right hip contusion. The 27-year-old guard's injury situation remains uncertain but Wizards head coach Scott Brooks is confident that Beal will be able to get back on his feet sooner than later.

Via The Athletic's Fred Katz:

Upon entering the team's matchup against the Pistons, Bradley Beal was already nursing a foot problem but eventually decided to shrug it off and see action on the floor. Midway through the game, Beal suffered a bruised hip, which caused him to leave the tilt early with 17 points, six assists, and three rebounds through 21 minutes played.

Amid his absence, Russell Westbrook led the team's charge as he came out with a triple-double performance to lift his teammates to a 106-92 victory. The win helped the Wizards get back in the win column as they improved to a 16-28 record for the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference.

After finding himself quite banged up, Beal is now in danger of missing the team's upcoming back-to-back set next week. The Wizards are set to visit the Pacers on Monday night followed by a contest against the Charlotte Hornets on the road Tuesday.

The three-time All-Star's heavy production will definitely be missed by the struggling Wizards. He is currently averaging 31.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists through 41 games played this season.

Wizards head coach Scott Brooks and the rest of the team will get a better grasp on Bradley Beal's situation once more details surface in the coming days. Without their star player, the Wizards faithful can expect Russell Westbrook to step up and keep the team afloat in their coming games.
