Washington Wizards star guard Bradley Beal is urging everyone to vote in this year's presidential election.

Beal, who has never voted before, doesn't want anyone to have the same mindset he did during these past few elections.

“I was someone who thought my vote didn’t count,” [Beal] said ruefully, via The Washington Post, adding that now, “I stand here and say it does. We all have the right. Everyone fought for that right.”

Bradley Beal realizes that this year's elections are very important, which is why he's using his platform to encourage everyone to vote.

“Right now,” he said, “this voting year coming up in October-November is the most important time for us all to vote.” I don’t necessarily see myself or consider myself an activist, but I feel like I have a platform, and I’m going to utilize it to the best of my ability,” Beal said.”

Capital One Arena, which is the Wizards' home stadium, will be used as a “super vote center” for the 2020 Election Day. In addition to the Wizards, the majority of NBA teams will also be using their stadiums and practice facilities as polling and voting centers for the November 2020 election. This was one of the incentives the players and owner agreed on in order to resume the 2020 season.

Nevertheless, as for Beal, it's good to see him using his platform to urge people to vote. As the 2020 presidential election is coming, more sports leagues including the NBA are encouraging voting.
