With the regular season now in its stretch run, players who are recovering from injury are doing their best to get back into action soon, and planning to suit up in the last few matches of their teams. This will allow them to get their conditioning back and have a feel for the game once again before the playoffs starts. One of them is Washington Wizards star guard John Wall, who is ramping up his activity of late, and has now taken the “next step” in his recovery.

News has recently surfaced that the five-time All-Star is continuing to practice with the team and is already going through 5-0 workouts. Head coach Scott Brooks has also confirmed the development, and even added, via Candace Buckner of the Washington Post, that Wall progressing well.

Wall has missed the Wizards' last 20 games due to a knee injury he suffered earlier this season. He underwent surgery back in January, and was originally given a six to eight week timetable, which could hold true if he sees action by next week.

If there's any good news for Wall at this point, the Wizards are still in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, and are looking geared to make a deep run in the playoffs once again. Bradley Beal has stepped up big time in his absence, taking over the scoring duties for them, and living up to expectations, being the All-Star that he is. Wall's impending return will be a huge boost to the Wizards, as he brings a lot of experience and elite playmaking skills to them, which will only make them an even more difficult team to beat.
