The now much-talked about meltdown at practice occurred after the Washington Wizards locked a three-game winning streak.

Per Candace Buckner of The Washington Post, several players including Bradley Beal and Austin Rivers had a verbal tussle in the Wizards' practice last Thursday. It happened after the Wizards won three straight games.

In addition, according to reports, all-star John Wall lashed out on head coach Scott Brooks after the latter dared the team to be more intense and passionate. The team fined Wall for his actions even though he apologized minutes after the altercation with Brooks.

Given their lack of improvement, rumors are circulating that the team is willing to let go of one Wall or Beal via trade. Letting either of the two go would signify that the franchise is looking to press the reset button by shaking up their roster. Beal himself has heard about the rumors but is unwilling to pay close attention. Per Buckner's article for The Washington Post:

“I’m not going to be naive to it, you know,” said Beal, who saw the report. “I’ve heard those rumors weeks ago. Then, I didn’t buy into them. Now, I’m still not going to buy into them because if that’s my main priority and focus, then I’m going to be messed up on the floor.”

The Wizards are now 5-11 this season, which includes a 2-9 start. Though the team has made the playoffs four times out of the last five years, they've only made it as far as the Conference Semifinals. Last season, they were eliminated in the first round in six games.
