The NBA sphere is buzzing over the fact that Russell Westbrook just made history, becoming the NBA's all-time leader in triple-doubles. The Washington Wizards star overtook Hall-of-Famer Oscar Robertson on Monday night, recording his 182nd trip-dub in his team's loss to the Atlanta Hawks.

The moment was definitely not lost on the Brodie, who had an amazing 43-second speech on what got him to this epic milestone:

You've got to give it up for Russell Westbrook. The ultra aggressive guard is one of the most polarizing talents in the last decade. For every few jaw-dropping plays he makes, he also has a couple of ill-advised moments along the way. But all in all, that's part of the Russell Westbrook experience.

As a die-hard Wizards fan myself, I was beyond skeptical going from franchise icon John Wall to the oft-maligned Russell Westbrook. But slowly Russ converted us all, turning a despondent Wizards squad on the verge of trading Bradley Beal, into arguably the scariest play-in tournament team that's won 15 of its last 20 games. In fact, their last three losses have been by a single point.

Russell Westbrook's record-breaking performance against the Hawks gave him one final shot to win the game. I'm sure Russ would take postponing the record if it meant picking up the much needed W against Atlanta.

The Wizards' last three contests are crucial in terms of determining where they'll land in the play-in tournament picture. They're currently a half game back of the Indiana Pacers for ninth place and home-court advantage in a potential showdown. Washington is also just one and a half games back of the Charlotte Hornets for the eighth seed, which could net them a very tasty matchup against the Boston Celtics, who have just announced that All-Star Jaylen Brown would be out for the season.

It doesn't need to be said that Russell Westbrook will do everything in his power to get the Wizards where they need to be.
