The Washington Wizards are “seriously considering” signing point guard Ty Lawson in light of their recent hit at the position with the injury to John Wall, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Due to the scarce point guard availability in the free agent, Washington is keeping the 30-year-old veteran in its crosshairs after he played for Shangdong of the Chinese Basketball Association this season.

Lawson saw somewhat of a revival of his career as a member of the Sacramento Kings during the 2016-17 season, but didn't garner much interest from teams due to a ghastly market for guards in the offseason after max money had been doled out in supermax contracts. He last averaged 9.9 points, 4.8 assists, and 1.1 steals for the Kings.

The Wizards recently suffered a scary setback with a scary fall from backup point guard Tomas Satoransky after he was clotheslined while airborne by Chicago Bulls forward Bobby Portis.

Satoransky cleared concussion tests this morning, but the team will play it carefully after he banged his head on the hardwood as a result of the sudden fall, according to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post.

He had three small bandages covering a gash over his right temple during today's practice.

The Wizards' other guar, Tim Frazier; appeared briefly with a newly-repaired nose following a nasal fracture surgery, which was also due to another wild play by Portis.

Both players wore street clothes on a day they should have been practicing, which has put their depth at the position in peril with Wall still plenty of weeks away from a return.
