The Skyrim Anniversary Edition is releasing on November 11.  This release is in celebration of the game's 10th anniversary on the same date this year. It seems only fitting that Skyrim gets yet another new edition to celebrate the occasion.

As ever, players can expect various new incremental features to come with the Skyrim Anniversary Edition. It will include the game's Special Edition, the remastered version that came out in 2016. This featured high-resolution textures and upgraded visual effects. Additionally, the Skyrim Anniversary Edition will also include the game's three major DLCs: Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.

Another surprise added to the Skyrim Anniversary Edition is more than 500 pieces of Creation Club content. These include new quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells, and more. Special Edition owners can also get the Anniversary Edition Upgrade so they won't need to pay full price for the new edition. There will also be a free next-gen upgrade that launches with the Skyrim Anniversary Edition.

Additionally, Skyrim Anniversary Editionwill also get an actual fishing system. In a statement to PC Gamer, managing director Ashley Cheng said:

“It's something I've always wanted to do in Skyrim. You don't have to dive into the water and click blindly anymore. You can now grab a fishing pole, do some fishing quests. It's a great addition to the game, it'll be free to everyone, and it really adds to the immersion of the world.”

Aside from the new edition, the game's 10th anniversary will also be celebrated with out-of-game events. One of these is the Skyrim In Concert, which will be performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and London Voices Choir. It will be viewable on YouTube and Twitch.
