The Cleveland Browns had a pretty successful NFL Draft considering they didn't have a selection until the third round. Cleveland was able to bring in talent in the secondary, the defensive line and at the skill positions on offense. However, some needs still remain on the roster, as the Browns defensive line could do with an experienced starter being added to the mix.

In addition to that, Cleveland has a situation brewing with disgruntled quarterback Baker Mayfield, who seems unlikely to play for the Browns even if starter Deshaun Watson is suspended. That is a less-than-ideal situation for both parties- and it's one that needs to be solved with the NFL Draft over and training camps set to begin in July.

The Browns clearly still have items on their to-do list. That said, here are two moves they must make after the NFL Draft.

Browns Moves After 2022 NFL Draft

2. Trade Baker Mayfield

The situation with Baker Mayfield is beyond repair. Mayfield has gone to great lengths to say how “disrespected” he has felt by the Browns' decision to trade for Watson basically without informing him of that possibility at the beginning of the process.

Even if the Browns wanted to hold onto Mayfield- in case Watson ends up suspended by the league- it's unlikely he would agree to be a placeholder quarterback for an organization whose owner said that they wanted an “adult in the room” at the position.

There's no point in Cleveland attempting to salvage a relationship that is already beyond over. With Jacoby Brissett on the depth chart, Cleveland has a capable backup option who can step in and start if need be.

Given the market for quarterbacks and wide receivers this offseason, it's possible that the Browns could acquire more for Mayfield than they could have in any other offseason. Cleveland needs to take advantage of that and trade Mayfield now.

1. Sign Akiem Hicks

While the Browns could use their remaining cap space to bring back pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney, there's an even more pressing need on the roster after the NFL Draft: the run defense.

Cleveland has a major difference-maker in Myles Garrett on the defensive line, though they'll be relying heavily on rookie Perrion Winfrey and Taven Bryan, who struggled mightily last season, to play meaningful snaps on the interior.

Enter former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, regarded as one of the better run-stuffers in the league. Hicks is a one-time Pro Bowler who registered a solid 72.3 overall grade from Pro Football Focus last year.

While Hicks is a bit of an injury concern, his ability to command double teams and stuff ball-carriers would be a welcome addition to Cleveland's defensive line.
