Currently completely revamping their roster, the Miami Dolphins have suddenly transformed into a legitimate playoff contender. This is especially true after the additions of Tyreek Hill, Cedrick Wilson, Raheem Mostert, Chase Edmonds, Alec Ingold, Conner Williams, Terron Armstead, and the re-signings of Mike Gesicki and Emmanuel Ogbah.

To say the Dolphins have had a busy offseason would be a massive understatement. Even with major upgrades to their roster, there are still a few more moves they can make to complete their unit.

2 moves the Dolphins must make to complete roster in 2022

2. Sign Odell Beckham Jr. to add more depth at wide receiver

Although Beckham is still recovering from an ACL tear, he'd still be a quality addition for the Dolphins. His championship experience would do wonders for the squad. The Dolphins also currently possess plenty of depth in their passing game with Hill, Wilson, Gesicki, and Jaylen Waddle in the fold.

So waiting for OBJ to work his way back to full strength is a luxury they definitely could afford. When at full strength, he can still play at an elite level and is one of the best deep threats in the league. Plus, adding OBJ to their deep and dynamic receiving corps would be huge for the Dolphins come playoff time. This would make them the biggest threat to the Buffalo Bills for the AFC East crown next season.

1. Bring in Stephon Gilmore to join the elite defensive unit

Signing Gilmore would cap off an already aggressive and productive offseason for the Dolphins. In their relentless pursuit of the Lombardi Trophy, the addition of Gilmore would further add to these efforts and improve their title odds in 2023. The addition of Gilmore would elevate their secondary and give them a smothering pass defense. Between Gilmore, Xavien Howard, Byron Jones, Nik Needham, and Eric Rowe, the Dolphins would possess the league's best secondary.

With the athleticism, physicality, and receiver-like ball skills of these defensive standouts, the Dolphins would be able to shut down the most explosive offenses in the NFL. They may be a long shot to land Gilmore, but making a play for an All-Pro talent of his caliber never hurts. With Gilmore on board, the Dolphins would be an even more efficient defensive unit.

In theory, it may be a bit of a longshot for the Dolphins to pull off these two moves. However, nobody expected them to make a trade for Hill, and now they boast one of the league's most star-studded offenses. As they aim to climb the ranks of the ultra-competitive AFC landscape, the Dolphins are bound to make some noise this season with a new and improved roster.

Already having addressed their biggest areas of need during NFL free agency, bringing in some additional help in the form of Beckham and Gilmore would be a major plus for the Dolphins. Not only would this complete their roster for 2022, but it would also give them two superstar veterans who are proven performers in big-time moments.
