The NFC North should be an interesting race, as the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings look like the top two teams in the division. For Minnesota, they're finally within striking distance of taking over the division from Green Bay. However, picking up some additional help out of free agency would help. We go over two moves the Vikings must make to finalize their roster after the 2022 NFL Draft.

For the most part, Minnesota's offense is set. Justin Jefferson will continue playing as the superstar, while Dalvin Cook locks down the run game. The Vikings should be able to compete with most teams in the league, but improving the offensive line could put them over the top. For that reason, look for the front office to potentially bring in a veteran lineman to help the offense.

Meanwhile, the Vikings have made strides in improving their defense. However, the defensive line could use a little boost for the 2022 season. There are numerous big guys left in free agency and Minnesota should consider signing one of them. It'll be interesting to see how the front office proceeds with the remainder of the offseason, but this franchise can still make a splash signing.

With that said, here are two moves the Vikings must make to complete their roster after the 2022 NFL Draft.

Vikings Moves After 2022 NFL Draft

2. Acquire depth offensive lineman to improve the trenches

It's not like the Vikings have a weak offensive line. Especially after the front office selected Ed Ingram in the draft. However, acquiring depth to the offensive line would help this offense tremendously. Kirk Cousins is not a mobile quarterback and Minnesota still utilizes the run often. Additionally, football is a game won in the trenches and this team could receive a nice advantage on Sundays with a strong front.

Considering the rest of the NFC North has stacked their defenses with talented players, it'd be wise of Minnesota to acquire the best offensive line possible. Being able to protect Cousins while opening up run lanes would go a long way for this offense. For that reason, we might see the Vikings bring in a lineman or two to improve the roster overall.

A few names that stand out for Minnesota are Ereck Flowers, Trey Hopkins, and Eric Fisher. At the very least, the Vikings would have some solid competition within the trenches, giving the offense the chance to acquire the best offensive line possible.

1. Sign Ndamukong Suh

The defense is set up to succeed for the most part. However, the Vikings could use some help within the interior defensive line. Ndamukong Suh isn't the same athlete he used to be, but he is still a dominant force in stopping the run. For that reason, Minnesota should highly consider signing the veteran defensive tackle.

Suh was a run-stopping specialist for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and can play that same role for the Vikings. He doesn't have to be an every-down player, however, his play would help Minnesota in certain play formations. In particularly short-yardage situations. Having Suh plug the running lanes in the red zone could be the difference-maker for the defense overall.

It wouldn't hurt the Vikings to bring in Ndamukong Suh by any means. He'd likely sign a cheap contract and if he doesn't pan out during training camp, the front office can release him. At the very least, Suh would bring in a ton of experience to help the younger players on the defense develop. Keep an eye on Suh, as he's bound to sign somewhere in the coming weeks.
