JJ Traynor, a 4-star forward in the 2020 recruiting class, is set to decide this week between the Louisville Cardinals and Cincinnati Bearcats, according to Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers.

The 6-8 power forward, who attends Bardstown High School in Kentucky, had plenty of interest from other programs around the country before cutting his list to two.

DePaul, Missouri, and Xavier were among the other schools that had offered him, while Kentucky also made a push for him as well.

Traynor is rated as the top player in Kentucky and No. 79 player overall in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports.

Louisville already has two commitments in next year's class, with 4-star forward D'Andre Davis and JUCO guard Jay Scrubb set to join the program. Cincinnati holds commitments from Gabe Madsen, Mike Saunders, and Mason Madsen.

The Cardinals will tip off the season on Nov. 5 against Miami, while the Bearcats will play Ohio State on Nov. 6.
