The Tennessee Titans made a blockbuster deal to acquire star wide receiver Julio Jones, making them a stronger NFL and AFC contender. While they are a contender now making a few more trades could put them over the top. They have a few positions they could improve at to make the roster nearly unbeatable.

The Titans had a 11-5 record last season and lost in the Divisional Round to the Baltimore Ravens. They had reached the AFC Championship game the year prior which made last season a disappointment for the team. The Titans have set themselves up for a good season but a few more trades could make them a favorite to win the Super Bowl.

Here are the 3 best trades the Titans can make after the Julio Jones blockbuster deal.

Titans trade options:

3. Edge Rusher Dante Fowler Jr.

This trade would be another deal with the Falcons but makes a ton of sense for the Titans. Dante Fowler Jr. had a very down year for the Atlanta Falcons and would be a low risk high reward player for the Titans. While he only had 3 sacks this past season, he had 11.5 sacks back in 2019 with the Los Angeles Rams. The Titans need to add depth at edge rusher especially after losing Jadeveon Clowney in free agency.

Fowler Jr. would be a solid trade for the Titans and he could help the defense improve in 2021.

2. Cornerback Logan Ryan

New York Giants cornerback Logan Ryan would be a great fit for the Titans defense. Ryan is a solid cornerback who would elevate the level of play in the secondary. Although he isn't a top cornerback in the league his skill set provides versatility which would benefit the Titans.

If the Titans make this trade the secondary will be good enough to make them a true contender.

1. Tight end O.J. Howard

After losing tight end Jonnu Smith in free agency the Titans need to upgrade at the position. Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard has been in trade rumors over the past few seasons and would be a great target for the Titans.

He ruptured his Achilles during the 2020 season but looks ready to go for the 2021 season. Howard is a great talent and could be a perfect mold of a player Tennessee needs. He is still young; he is only 26 and could become a star for the team.

Howard would be able to be get one on one matchups as he would be teammates with Julio Jones and A.J. Brown. He would be able to get these great matchups especially in the red zone and would be a top target for Ryan Tannehill.

If Tennessee can pull of a trade for Howard, the offense will be nearly unstoppable.

Although the Titans aren't considered the favorite they are in the conversation for having a top team in the league. In the AFC the only competition they should fear are the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. Tennessee now has the talent to go toe to toe with its primary opponents. Making these trades could provide a real advantage. Although they don't have the same level quarterback as the Chiefs or Bills, the Titans may have the better overall roster.

Look for the Titans to be a Super Bowl contender next season especially if they make these trades.
