This NBA offseason has been full of fireworks so far.

Superstars relocating. Stand-offs between owners and players.

The most noise, however, has been made by those laughing their way to the bank. In the first 96 hours alone, $3 billon was spent on contracts (1.7 billion on day one alone) that will become finalized within the week. Yes, $3 billion.

The Associated Press reports that it breaks down to almost $9,000 per second. Every second, for four days. Unreal.

This is considering that both LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade are yet to sign.

Here are some of the signings that lead to the staggering number in dollars spent:

MIKE CONLEY: 5 years, $153 million with Grizzlies

JUSTIN HAMILTON: 2 years, $6 million with Nets

TIMOFEY MOZGOV: 4 years, $64 million with Lakers

DEMAR DEROZAN: 5 years, $145 million with Raptors

ANDRE DRUMMOND: 5 years, $130 million with Pistons

NICOLAS BATUM: 5 years, $120 million with Hornets

JORDAN CLARKSON: 4 years, $50 million with Lakers

HASSAN WHITESIDE: 4-years, $98 million with Heat

MATTHEW DELLAVEDOVA: 4 years, $38 million with Bucks

AL HORFORD: 4 years, $113 million with the Celtics

The NBA is due kick in  a $24 billion television contract that sparked a jump in the salary cap from $70 million last season to just over $94.1 million for this coming year. As a result, players are signing faster than years past. Of course with the exception of a few notable veterans.

The Associated Press quotes Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti, saying “Given the spike in the cap and given the amount of money that’s in the system, free agency is going to move faster this year.” That couldn’t be more true.

Another staggering fact is that six of the largest contracts in NBA history start next season, led by Mike Conley’s deal so far, which currently stands as the largest in league history.

There is still more signing to do, and the numbers will continue to rise to ridiculous heights. Will the bubble eventually bust?
