The Seattle Seahawks had an enormous chance to go 3-0 with a win over the Drew Brees-less New Orleans Saints.

Instead, they fell behind early and were not able to climb back in. They now sit at 2-1 preparing to take on a mediocre Arizona Cardinals’ team.

Right now, the Seahawks are not the perfect team. They have an elite quarterback in Russell Wilson and one of the best head coaches in the league in Pete Carroll. These two have combined for a lot of wins over the years but there are some unanswered questions this season.

Heading into Week 4, here are three questions that the Seahawks must answer.

3. Who are the Seattle Seahawks?

Plain and simple, who are the Seahawks? This might not be answered in full this week but this will be a question before every game throughout the entire season.

The Seahawks were tested in Week 1 at home against a bad Cincinnati Bengals’ team. The 0-3 Pittsburgh Steelers took them down to the wire in their second game. The Saints marched in to Seattle and won without their starting quarterback. The Seahawks right now have no identity.

One thing the “Legion of Boom” brought was an identity. The Seahawks were a team that was going to dominate on defense. Marshawn Lynch brought an identity on offense.

Right now, the Seahawks are searching for themselves in 2019.

2. Can the Seahawks Cut Down on Turnovers?

It is hard to win when turning the ball over in this league. These turnovers have not come from Wilson. He has not thrown an interception yet this season. They are coming from their ball carriers.

The Seahawks have fumbled four times and have lost all of them. They have at least one turnover in every game. Chris Carson is the biggest culprit in this aspect. He has fumbled three times this season which is a concern coming from the team’s No. 1 running back.

The Cardinals do not have the best defense. They are a team that will try to outscore their opponents. Seattle has a chance in this game to control the ball.

If they turn it over, the Cardinals will have a chance to stay in this game which they should not be able to do.

1. Will the Seahawks be Able to Protect Wilson?

The biggest concern in Seattle right now is their pass protection. This is coming straight from the mouth of Carroll who addressed the problem before the Saints’ game.

“Yeah, we’re concerned,” Carroll commented on his pass protection. “I like what we did in the second half last week. We really caught up with the rhythm and the style. Russ (Wilson) was phenomenal.”

The Seahawks have been banged up on the offensive line early in the season. Even with the injuries, Wilson has been sacked just six times but he is a player who uses his legs well. Wilson saves sacks by escaping the pocket and gaining rush yards. He has never been a pure pocket passer.

Like any other quarterback though, Wilson needs to stay of the ground and it starts with the offensive line.
