The Atlanta Falcons have had one of the best offenses in the NFL for plenty of years. One of the reasons for that is Julio Jones.

Since being taken sixth overall in the 2011 NFL Draft, Jones was expected to become a great receiver in the NFL. He was a freak of nature, standing at 6-foot-3, and could run past defenders with ease.

His skill set immediately translated in the NFL. Jones caught 18 touchdowns in his first two seasons. Having Matt Ryan as his quarterback has helped the Alabama product to dominate each and every secondary in the league.

Last year, Julio Jones had one of the best seasons of his eight-year career by pulling in 113 receptions, 1,677 yards, and eight touchdowns. Now, Jones is entering his ninth season. At 30 years old, he has shown no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

The Falcons' receiver has continually shown his interest in receiving a new contract with Atlanta. Therefore, he continues to play at a high-level in hopes to receive a hefty contract that pays him what he's worth.

What type of season could we see from the veteran receiver in 2019? Here are three numbers to target for Julio Jones.

3. 1,500 Receiving Yards

Since his days at Alabama, Jones has always been capable of making plays downfield. In his eight-year career, Jones has garnered over 10,000 receiving yards. That is 100 football fields of receiving yards for the Falcons' star wideout.

In three of his seasons, Jones has eclipsed 1,500 receiving yards. In two other years, he was fewer than 100 yards from reaching 1,500 yards through the air. Therefore, 1,500 yards seems like a good starting point for the elite receiver.

Jones has always been a focal point of the Falcons' offense and figures to be so again in 2019. Atlanta's offense has been predicated on throwing the ball to talented receivers. In 2019, expect Jones to have yet another 1,500-yard season, to help earn him a new deal with the Falcons.

2. 16 Yards Per Reception

At 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, Jones is a rare physical specimen. Guys that size should not be able to move as fluidly and quickly as Jones does. His combination of speed and power allows him to make big plays in the passing game.

Over his entire career, Jones has averaged 15.4 yards per reception. Jones' career average would've been good enough for 14th in the NFL for yards per reception.

We've seen Jones average anywhere from 13.8 yards per reception to 17.8 yards per reception. In 2019, expect a huge year from the athletic wide receiver, especially since Calvin Ridley and Mohamed Sanu will help him get open.

1. 8 Touchdowns

If anyone was going to knock Jones for anything (and I mean anything), it would likely be his lack of touchdowns. The Falcons' receiver has phenomenal numbers in just about every category besides touchdowns.

Surprisingly, in his eight years in the NFL, Jones has surpassed 10 touchdowns just once. Those 10 touchdowns came in his second season in the NFL in 2012. It's hard to think that he will eclipse the 10-touchdown mark again in his ninth season.

Touchdowns could be easier to come by with Steve Sarkisian no longer the offensive coordinator. Sarkisian struggled to find ways to get Jones the ball in the red zone. As a result, Sarkisian was fired. The Falcons hired Dirk Koetter to replace him this offseason.

Koetter comes from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who had to find ways to get Mike Evans the ball in scoring situations. In the upcoming season, expect to see Jones total the same amount of touchdowns he did in 2018: eight.
