The Baltimore Ravens are entering a crucial season. After a 2021 campaign that was marred by injury, the Ravens will look to jump right back into the playoff picture with their revamped roster. There are plenty of young, exciting players on this Baltimore team that will make a huge impact this year as the Ravens attempt to return to the postseason. Ravens Breakout Players for 2022 NFL Season

1. JK Dobbins

This one is fairly obvious. Dobbins was supposed to take the starting running back role last year. But, a torn ACL sidelined him for the entire campaign. Now, he'll return fully healthy. He showed brief flashes of fantastic play as a rookie, showing off incredible speed, balance, and the ability to run through contact. Even with an ACL tear, it's fair to expect Dobbins to retain those traits in his first season as a full-time starter. He's looked really good during the offseason.

Dobbins is also in the perfect offense to make a big statistical impact. The Ravens are one of, if not the, most run-heavy offenses in the NFL. He should be handling around 20 touches per game, assuming he's fully healthy. That insane workload will allow Dobbins to completely load the stat sheet. Some of the other running backs on the roster will account for some touches, but overall, Dobbins should have one of the biggest workloads in the entire league.

2. Devin Duvernay

The Ravens have one of the thinnest wide receiver rooms in the entire NFL. Second-year player Rashod Bateman headlines the group, but beyond him, there isn't much there. That's where Devin Duvernay comes in. Duvernay is a third-year pass-catcher who has primarily made his impact felt on special teams so far. His top-end speed, quickness, and ability to avoid tackles will help him contribute on offense in 2022.

The lack of other receiving options on Baltimore will also help Duvernay make a big statistical impact. Bateman is the only guy ahead of him on the depth chart. James Proche is behind him. Proche has essentially been a worse version of Duvernay his entire career. So, it's fair to expect Duvernay to absorb a ton of targets. Tight end Mark Andrews will also be a huge factor in the passing game, but that shouldn't effect Duvernay all that much. In his first year as a full-time starter, the Texas product should be in store for the third-biggest target share on the team. That sounds like a recipe for a breakout year.

3. Odafe Oweh

Last year's first-round selection is one of the biggest breakout candidates in the entire NFL. Oweh played the role of a situational pass-rusher last season, and he still managed to amass five sacks and three forced fumbles. His incredible athleticism was on display all year, and it's clear that he's come a long way since his college days. Now the Ravens will call on him to start at one of the most important positions on the field.

Oweh exhibits a ton of confidence, something all Ravens fans should be excited about.

Oweh only played 56 percent of the defensive snaps for the Ravens last year. Yet, his stats were still pretty impressive. That number should skyrocket to around 80 percent due to the lack of edge-rushing options in Baltimore. Tyus Bowser is the only other legitimate option at outside linebacker. That means that Oweh will have to play a ton of snaps. That increase combined with a year of development should allow Oweh to step into a breakout season.
