Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge is one of the most aggressive execs in the NBA. So even though Boston established themselves as title contenders in 2019-20 before the season was suspended and has a chance to win the whole thing once the “bubble” games start on July 30, don't be surprised if Ainge and his group of associates try and make another blockbuster move in the offseason.

Last summer, the Celtics acquired All-Star point guard Kemba Walker from the Charlotte Hornets in a sign-and-trade deal involving Terry Rozier. And even though Kyrie Irving left Boston after just two years, it's worth mentioning Ainge's acquisition of Irving, who put up star numbers for the Celtics but just couldn't get out of his own way at times.

Once the 2020 offseason begins, here are three players Ainge and the Celtics can try and trade for.

1. Andre Drummond

Cleveland Cavaliers center Andre Drummond is a player the Celtics have pursued in the past. The two-time All-Star has a player option for the 2020-21 season worth $28.8 million and he has already announced he's going to pick it up.

Since there have already been rumors stating the Cavs could trade Drummond in the summer, the Celtics should acquire the UConn product because it will address the team's biggest need, which is rebounding and rim protection.

Drummond is the rim-roller the Celtics need next to Walker. The New York native averaged 17.7 points and 15.2 rebounds with the Pistons and Cavs in 2019-20. Drummond is a three-time rebounding champion and the ideal big man for Walker, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum to start alongside.

The driving lanes Drummond would create with his screens alone would be enough for Walker to get all the way to the rim. At 6-foot 10 and 280 pounds, defenders often get pinned on Drummond’s screen, allowing his teammates to operate with more space.

2. Steven Adams

If the Celtics are unable to acquire Drummond, another center they can go after is Oklahoma City Thunder big man Steven Adams. In 2020-21, Adams is due $27.5 million. The Thunder may be interested in trading him this offseason since OKC general manager Sam Presti may want to go younger moving forward.

Adams is a relentless competitor and a proven winner. He would fit in very well with the Celtics’ locker room, especially since he already has a rapport with Enes Kanter. The two were essentially best friends during their time in OKC together.

Adams averaged 10.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 blocks per game for the Thunder prior to games getting suspended in March. He racked up 21 double-doubles as well. That's the type of production the Celtics need from their starting center on a nightly basis after losing Al Horford to the Philadelphia 76ers.

3. Bradley Beal

By all accounts, the Washington Wizards are not going to trade Bradley Beal this summer. However, that shouldn't stop Ainge and the Celtics from picking up the phone and basically offering the house for the superstar shooting guard.

Walker and Tatum are pretty much the only untouchable players on the Celtics, Sure, Brown has established himself as a borderline All-Star. But to get a star player such as Beal, Boston is going to have to part ways with one of its key youngsters and Brown fits that bill. The Celtics will also have to part ways with a bevy of future draft picks.

Beal was averaging 30.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.1 assists for the Wizards in 2019-20. If the Celtics were able to get him next to Walker and Tatum, it would be lights out for the rest of the NBA.
