With a ton of controversy surrounding Andrew Wiggins over concerns of him not yet being vaccinated in compliance to the city of San Francisco's vaccination mandate, it has left the Golden State Warriors pondering their next move. If Wiggins does end up declining to get his vaccination shot, then the Warriors may be forced to make a trade and find his replacement for the upcoming season.

Given everything that's at stake for the Warriors this 2021-22, they will need all the help they can get as they look to return to the NBA Finals and bring the Larry O'Brien Trophy back to the Bay Area.

Hoping to make another deep playoff run next season, let's take a look at three potential trade targets for the Warriors if Andrews Wiggins declines to get vaccinated.

3. Ben Simmons

Now that he's cut off all communications with the Philadelphia 76ers, it's only a matter of time before Ben Simmons finds himself being traded from Philly. In spite of the recent comments made by Warriors owner Joe Lacob–who stated that trading for Ben Simmons would not be logical for the team due to him not being a great on-court pairing with Draymond Green–there's no denying that he would become a bona fide superstar and elevate his game playing alongside Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Plus with his versatile defensive presence, playmaking, and athleticism, he could prove to be a great frontcourt mate to Green in due time. He does have his offensive deficiencies, but under the guidance of title-winning head coach Steve Kerr and his team-first approach to the game, Simmons would become a more prolific shooter and a well-rounded scorer. At just 25 years of age, the Australian could also be the future face of their franchise after Curry, Thompson, and Green retire.

2. Joe Ingles

Earlier this summer, the Warriors and Utah Jazz had briefly discussed the possibility of a trade involving Joe Ingles. Of course that talked fizzled shortly after and nothing's been mentioned of it since. Given the Dubs' current situation with Wiggins, this could be a great opportunity for them to re-open trade talks with Utah.

On the Warriors, Ingles would fit in seamlessly with his limitless scoring range and scrappy defense that could create more opportunities for Curry and Thompson. He would also provide them with another playmaking point-forward outside of Green. If the Dubs were to pull off this trade while keeping their core rotation intact, then they would form one of the most explosive line-ups in the league that could catapult them back into the elite of the Western Conference.

1. Obi Toppin

The Knicks have now fully committed to Julius Randle long-term and as a result, there may not be any room in their deep frontcourt rotation for Obi Toppin to develop his game. With Toppin looking to grow into a star in this league, the Warriors would provide him with the opportunity to do just that while giving him plenty of playing time. He would also add some much-needed depth to a very thin frontline that could use more size, length, and athleticism.

Toppin checks off all of those boxes and gives them a young player with plenty of upside to his game and some All-Star potential. In their up-tempo, 3-point heavy system, Toppin would be able to evolve his game.

This move would be a win-win situation for both teams. The Knicks would be able to rid themselves of their frontcourt glut by moving Obi Toppin to the Bay Area, while the Warriors would gain a young forward with lots of promise whom they could develop into an All-Star-caliber power forward while adding some much-needed size.
