Some are jumping off the San Francisco 49ers bandwagon after their loss in their last game against the Atlanta Falcons. They have had some slip-ups the last month but this is still a team that is in great shape to be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. Let's breakdown four reasons the 49ers will win the Super Bowl.

4. A slew of running backs

The 49ers have dealt with a lot of injuries this year at running back, but it has allowed them to have some young guys step up and now they have a crowded backfield. Raheem Mostert, Tevin Coleman, Matt Breida and Deebo Samuel share carries.

That has allowed the 49ers to keep everyone fresh and even if one or two go does with injury going forward, the backfield still is in good shape.

3. 49ers pass rush

The San Francisco 49ers pass rush is one of the best in football and once all the guys need a payday, the 49ers are going to be in trouble. Dee Ford, Nick Bosa, Sheldon Day, DeForest Buckner, and Arik Armstead have been a problem for opposing offensive lines all year. The 49ers currently sit 3rd in the NFL with 47 sacks, and that can wear down a quarterback. Taking hits is never fun as a quarterback and that is when mistakes usually are made.

2. 49ers secondary/pass defense

Remember when Richard Sherman came over to the 49ers and there were people who questioned if Sherman had much left to give? Now that Sherman is fully healthy, he is the anchor of the defense and a big reason for his success is because of how smart he is.

“I don't care if you're the most outstanding athlete in the world; you're simply a pawn,” Sherman said via Tyler Dunne of Bleacher Report. “You're a pawn in the grand scheme. You don't get to call your own shot. If you individually can say, ‘On this play, I'm doing this and I can do whatever the f–k I want,' then it would be much harder to stop people. But when all I have to do is understand the person calling the plays and understand the situation I'm in, then you're just the move getting made.

The 49ers defense is giving up only 154.4 yards per game through the air, and that will translate well during their run to a Super Bowl victory.

1. Jimmy Garoppolo

Earlier in the season, there was concern about Jimmy Garoppolo and if the defense struggled, could he rise to the occasion and lead the team to a win. Garoppolo went 26-35 for 349 yards and four touchdowns. He has gotten more comfortable as the season has gone on and he should be in good shape for the playoffs.

The NFC playoffs are going to be filled with a lot of good offenses, and there is a chance in one of the games the defense could struggle. If the defense does struggle that is when Garoppolo can step up and lead the 49ers to a victory.

Garoppolo is the long term option at quarterback, and he is going to cement that with a Super Bowl win.
