The San Francisco 49ers came incredibly close to a shocking Super Bowl berth but were ultimately denied by the Rams in the NFC Championship. It's hard to single out an individual to blame for the loss, but absolutely no one will be suggesting 49ers star Deebo Samuel is at fault for the loss. After the defeat, Samuel took to Instagram to leave a message for Niners' nation, thanking them for their unwavering support throughout the up-and-down season.

Samuel shared a handful of photos from the 2021 season, including stills of him celebrating alongside the likes of TE George Kittle, WR Brandon Aiyuk, OT Trent Williams, LB Fred Warner, and FB Kyle Juszcyzk, among others.
Article Continues BelowThe 49ers fell short of the Super Bowl, though there was minimal expectation from those around the league that they'd make it near as far as they did. Samuel played a huge part in the 49ers' success throughout the 2021 season, dominating both as a receiver and running back.
In 2021, Samuel rushed the ball 59 times for 365 yards and eight touchdowns. Additionally, the versatile offensive star caught 77 passes on 121 targets, racking up 1,405 yards and six receiving touchdowns. His 18.2 yards per reception were the best in the NFL.
The South Carolina product emerged as a superstar in 2021, earning All-Pro honors and his first-ever trip to the Pro Bowl. While he didn't manage to get his hands on the Lombardi Trophy and the Niners burnt out just one win shy of a Super Bowl 56 appearance, Samuel knows the sky is the limit for this team and is already looking forward to next season.
