Deebo Samuel is as confident as they come, and the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver said as much prior to their NFC title game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

When asked why he doesn't study other wideouts in the league, Samuel shared his belief that there is no receiver that is as good as him or plays like he does.

“There is not another receiver in this league that play[s] like me and do things that I do. So I don't see the need to watch anybody that don't do things that I do,” the 26-year-old 49ers star shared.

A first time Pro Bowler this 2021, it's easy to see where Deebo Samuel is coming from. He has impressed throughout his three years in the NFL, establishing himself as one of the best wideouts in the league along with Davante Adams (Green Bay Packers) and Cooper Kupp (Rams).

Against the Rams on Sunday, he was pivotal as the 49ers tied the game early on and took the lead come the third quarter. His epic 44-yard catch-and-run–one that displayed his speed, strength and evasiveness–allowed the Niners to get the momentum and get so close to the finish line.

Unfortunately for Samuel, his efforts were not enough to propel the 49ers in the game. The Rams used a huge 13-0 fourth quarter to turn things around and punch their ticket to the Super  Bowl at the expense of the San Francisco franchise.

If there is one thing we're sure, though, it's the fact that the defeat won't put a crack on Samuel's confidence.
