In a recent turn of events, the NFL took over social media after the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers agreed to a trade. The Dolphins are sending the third overall pick to the 49ers, in exchange for the 12th pick overall, a 2021 third-round pick, and first-round picks in 2022 and 2023, per Adam Schefter.

The trade caught the attention of sports fans everywhere, but it also captured George Kittle's interest as well. San Francisco's superstar tight end shared his take on the surprising trade by tweeting Adam Schefter.

“Oh wow,” were the two simple words Kittle sent through Twitter. He's been an advocate for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, as the two enjoyed playing together during the 2019 Super Bowl run.

However, it seems as though the 49ers are searching for a new quarterback after moving up from 12 to three. This is speculation of course, but this trade makes it more likely the 49ers walk away from the draft with one of the highly anticipated rookie prospects.

It's basically a foregone conclusion that Trevor Lawrence is going to be drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars. That means it's likely between Justin Fields or Zach Wilson as the third pick in the upcoming draft. It's still unclear whether or not the New York Jets take a quarterback or not, but for the 49ers, everything depends on how those first two picks go.

A smart decision the 49ers might follow through with is keeping Garoppolo even after drafting a rookie quarterback. This would ensure the new prospect is developed properly and Geroge Kittle may be receiving passes from Garoppolo for at least one more year. Either way, if the 49ers select a quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo's time in San Francisco will be ending sooner, rather than later.
