Jimmy Garoppolo has no problem if the San Francisco 49ers package him with Deebo Samuel in a trade this offseason. In fact, he would love if that happens.

The 49ers want to move on from Garoppolo as they try to clear up major cap space and pave the way for Trey Lance to take over as QB1. Meanwhile, Samuel has been quite clear on his desire to leave and has already requested a trade away from the team.

When asked about the trade rumors surrounding him and Samuel, Garoppolo shared that he would welcome it and do the deal in a “heartbeat.”

“I would do that in a heartbeat,” Garoppolo said in a recent episode of Stacking The Box podcast, per Jenna Lemoncelli of the New York Post. “I think those things will take care of themselves. But I didn’t even think about that. That’s not bad.”

It remains to be seen what the 49ers will actually do. There isn't much interest in Jimmy Garoppolo as it currently stands after he decided to undergo surgery on his throwing shoulder.

It is also worth noting that the 49ers are reportedly not in a rush to trade Garoppolo, as they hold out hope that more teams will be interested when he recovers and becomes 100 percent healthy later in the year.

Packaging Garoppolo and Samuel can be a good move if the team wants to quickly part ways with the two, but by the looks of it, the 49ers want to maximize the returns they can get for both.
