Kyle Shanahan is not happy with the way the San Francisco 49ers played in their loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and he's particularly critical of Jimmy Garoppolo's performance.

Garoppolo threw two touchdowns in the contest while completing 20 of his 30 passes for 299 yards, but he also committed two interceptions that allowed the Seahawks to come back. The 49ers were ahead at the half by two points, but Jimmy G. and co. failed to score in the second half to pave the way for a Seattle victory, 30-23.

After the contest, Shanahan was rather blunt in his assessment of the team's performance. He pointed out Garoppolo's two interceptions as critical mistakes, which they can't allow moving forward as they look to keep their postseason hopes alive.

“Those two picks weren't good plays. He's got to be better with the ball,” Shanahan said of Garoppolo, per Tracy Sandler of Fan Girl Sports.

The Seahawks are a struggling franchise, and there was no doubt the 49ers were largely expected to win the contest. After the first half, things looked to be heading into that direction.

Unfortunately for San Francisco, the 49ers failed to really threaten after their hot start as the Seahawks scored nine in the third quarter and just held on to their lead.

Kyle Shanahan and Co. face the Cincinnati Bengals next, and true enough, they need Jimmy Garoppolo to be at his absolute best against one of the top teams of the NFC North.
