The Minnesota Vikings offensive line along with Kirk Cousins just bested the San Francisco 49ers in astounding fashion. A lot of their firepower in the offense was orchestrated by Brock Purdy. But, it just was not earning them trips in the endzone. Kyle Shanahan knew that they should have taken down Kirk Cousins one way or another in their showdown. But, it just did not happen in this matchup. Nick Bosa outlined his feelings after not being able to step up and get the statement takedown on the Vikings quarterback in his latest statement, via Jake Hutchinson of KNBR.

“We’re usually a rush four kind of team. It’s a little different this year,” was the adjustment made by Kyle Shanahan that Nick Bosa revealed which could have led to the 49ers' inability to take down Kirk Cousins.

Typically, the four-man rush is used to force more bad passes and give the quarterback a harder time in the pocket. Kyle Shanahan might want to start using that schematic again if he aims for this loss to not happen again. When the clock ran out, the Vikings offense really outclassed the 49ers which led to a close defeat.

Kirk Cousins and his teammates notched 6.8 yards per play with only one interception in the whole game. The 49ers offense, on the other hand, just could not outscore their opponents. Purdy ended up throwing two interceptions while getting sacked. The team had only earned 325 total yards which pails in comparison to the Vikings that notched 452 of them.
