San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman seems to be pushing for a Legion of Boom reunion in the Bay but said that for it to happen the right price needs to be paid.

Sherman made it clear that there is a serious interest for Thomas and the fit makes perfect sense.

“There's serious interest. There's obviously a clear and easy fit,” Sherman said, per the Sacramento Bee. “But financially it has to make sense. If you go into free agency and say, ‘Hey, we offered Earl Thomas $7 million,' it doesn't matter how much I recruit, it doesn't how much you say. If finances make sense, then I would say we're a major player in it. If everything aligns the right way.”

The 49ers have around $70 million available in cap space this NFL offseason, and there is no doubt that Thomas is going to be in line for a big payday.

Thomas is still a good player, but he is coming off his second major injury in as many years so it might be a tough pill to swallow for the 49ers to put that much money in an injury prone player.

The Dallas Cowboys are also said to be very much in play for the All-Pro's services, and Jerry Jones hasn't mince words when talking about Earl Thomas. There was a belief during last year's draft that Thomas would come to the Cowboys in a draft day trade, but that never happened.

Thomas played at the University of Texas so it would be a homecoming if he ended up with the Cowboys. If Sherman has any say in it though, he will stay on the west coast.
