Once one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, Dr Disrespect has been embroiled in controversy surrounding the reason he was ultimately banned from the platform. That controversy has led the San Francisco 49ers to be the latest organization to cut ties with the streamer.
The 49ers have cut all ties with Dr Disrespect and will no longer be working with him moving forward, via Alexander Lee of Digiday. Once San Francisco saw that allegations, and the response from Dr Disrespect, they no longer wanted him representing their team.
“We take these developments seriously and will not be working with him going forward.
Disrespect, real name Guy Beahm, has been seen in numerous 49ers promotional videos. With a firm allegiance to the team, Beahm had become one of the 49ers' biggest influencers in the online world.

As the backlash towards Dr Disrespect continues to mount, the 49ers no longer wanted any part of him representing their brand. They joined the likes of Turtle Beach and Midnight Society who also cut ties with Beahm. With how good the 49ers have been in recent years, they shouldn't have any trouble finding another internet celebrity to endorse them.
Why did Dr Disrespect get banned from Twitch?

Dr Disrespect was banned on Twitch all the way back in 2020. For years it was shrouded in mystery with people from all corners of the internet spewing their theories. But on June 21, a former Twitch employee shared some crucial information on the situation.
Cody Connors claimed that Beahm had inappropriately communicated with a minor using the now disbanded Twitch whispers feature. Dr Disrespect was reportedly trying to meet with this underage fan at TwitchCon.
With the allegations being so damning, everything was back to square one. While there was now a dark cloud over the allegations, everyone was just even more confused as to what Disrespect had actually done. Until the doctor himself made a statement on the accusations.
On Tuesday, Dr Disrespect admitted to sending messages to minor through Twitch messages back in 2017. Furthermore, he stated that at times the messages would lean on the side of inappropriate. He argued that there was no intent behind the messages, but they were sent regardless.
Beahm took responsibility for his actions and said he never should've been in the situation. Furthermore, he stated everything legally was settled. However, in the court of public opinion, he had lost.
The 49ers have now joined the masses in showing their discontent for Dr Disrespect. While the streamer says he is now taking an extended vacation, the fanbase he will come back to will be questionable. Once a leader of the 49ers fanbase, Guy Beahm has now been exiled.
