Romelu Lukaku is one of the most talked about footballers in all of the world. He made massive headlines this season as the Chelsea striker expressed his frustrations with the club, and talked about his love for his former club Inter Milan.

Lukaku left Inter Milan in 2021 due to the Italian club having financial issues. The Belgian striker was coming off a Scudetto-winning season with the Black and Blues, scoring 30 goals on the year, before transferring to Chelsea for a fee of over $100 million. However, Lukaku has not produced very well at Chelsea, only scoring 15 goals in 44 appearances for the club.

Now the rumors are spiraling that Chelsea may be willing to let Lukaku go in the summer. If that is true, despite the poor season, there will be tons of clubs hoping to gain the Belgian's services for next season. Here are five clubs that make sense for Lukaku to sign with this summer.

Best landing spots for Romelu Lukaku

5. Arsenal

Romelu Lukaku is already in London, but he obviously has not enjoyed his time at Chelsea. A great way to get back at the Chelsea fans who hate Lukaku, while staying in the same city could be a massive shock transfer to Arsenal, who will be fighting for a Europa League title. Lukaku could be the perfect striker to add that veteran leadership, and that bit of quality that they still need if they want to get into the top four.

4. Barcelona

If the rumors are true that Bayern Munich will attempt to force Robert Lewandowski to play out the rest of his contract, which is one year left, Barcelona may not be able to get the Polish striker. If they're unable to achieve the transfer, Romelu Lukaku could be a great Plan B. He is physical, experienced, and could somehow be a bargain signing after just one flopped season. Barcelona may want to take advantage of a steal of a deal, instead of attempting to splash large amounts of money, and putting themselves back into financial hell.

3. Bayern Munich

With all signs pointing to Robert Lewandowski leaving Bayern Munich this summer, the Bavarian Giants are going to need a striker to replace him. Lewandowski is one of the best strikers in all of the world, if not the best, so Bayern will want to bring in an already established goal scorer, which makes Lukaku the perfect target. Romelu Lukaku could be a perfect Lewandowski replacement as he is an extremely strong striker. who is lethal in the box and doesn't need to outpace defenders to get into scoring opportunities.

2. AC Milan

Lukaku can join a long lineage of great players who have played for both Inter and AC Milan. Due to the rivalry being more like cousins than bitter hatred, it wouldn't be surprising to see Lukaku join the other side of Milan. AC Milan star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be out the first few months of the season with a knee injury, and with the Red and Black coming off a Serie A title, they are going to want to have a solid start to the season. The Belgian international could very well be the determining factor in which Milan side wins the league this year.

1. Inter Milan

Ultimately, the most likely scenario is that Romelu Lukaku finds himself returning to Inter Milan. Lukaku did not want to leave Inter but was forced to due to Inter being in debt, and now with their finances more contained, a year removed return makes the most sense. Lukaku has made it no secret that Inter still has his heart, and a partnership between Lautaro Martinez and Lukaku has already been proven to be incredibly effective in Serie A. With Inter earning second in the league, behind rival AC Milan, a transfer like Romelu Lukaku could easily push themselves to go back to the favorites in Italian football.
