Adam Silver, current NBA Commissioner, has been a refreshing face in the NBA. Different from his hard-nosed predecessor David Stern, Silver has shown to be progressive, open for all discussion, and transparent, which fans really enjoy.

What he does lack is an official Twitter account, but Silver even has that covered. Apparently, the NBA's top boss has a secret and private account which he uses to follow important NBA topics and get the fans and players' feel on certain NBA-connected things.

In an interview with ESPN's Arash Markazi, Silver talked about his involvement on social media.

“First, yes, I follow social media, I have an account on all the different platforms. I don't choose to tweet, other than on the official NBA account, so I also have an account just to follow what's going on. I don't feel it's such a secret. I don't think there's much of an expectation of privacy for people on social media.”

Twitter is a great platform for not only the fans, but also for the players to discuss important, trending topics without much censorship. It is very important to know that the commissioner is out there, getting feedback on NBA-related topics and possibly thinking about new things to improve the league for the fans, players, and everyone else involved in the best basketball avenue in the world.
