FTR have been the number one contenders for the AEW Tag Team Champions for months now… literally. They were the number one contenders throughout the majority of Jurassic Express's title run – despite never actually earning a championship match – and while they did have a few big-time bouts over that tenure, most notably their title wins over The Briscoes and The United Empire's Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb, those matches were for the Ring of Honor championship, not the one promoted by AEW.

So naturally, as AEW prepares to promote yet another Tag Team Championship match, this time with the current champions, the Young Bucks, wrestling Swerve in our Glory and Team Taz at Fyter Fest, Uncle Dax took to his favorite social medium of self-expression to voice his displeasure with being overlooked by the booker man once more.

Now, as you may or may not know, FTYB is a reference to FTR, the phrase used on Being The Elite by Cody Rhodes and company to disparage the top tag team in WWE who were then known as The Revival. The phrase caught on so rapidly that once the duo now known as Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood were freed from their contracts and the prospects of having to dress like literal clowns at the behest of Vince McMahon, they decided to take up the name because it was already so darn over.

Will FTYB catch on in a similar way? Will the Bucks finally succumb to the heat from FTR's online fandom and allow Tony Khan to a title match between the two parties, or will FTR as Number 1 Contenders roll into August or even longer? Either way, FTYB is about to enter Month 3.
