After securing a massive win over Cole “Don't-call-him-Tony-Two-Dimes-Donovan” Karter on AEW's Fyter Fest, Ricky Starks got greedy.

Though his match was somewhat contentious, with Karter getting in a few should-have-been-pins on the “Absolute” one, Starks was drinking a little too much of his Kool-Aid once the ref hit 1-2-3 and demanded a microphone to issue a second challenge for Fytre Fest Night 3: One challenger wasn't enough; no, Starks wanted to go “Double or Nothing” on championship defenses and give another performer a go in the wrestling ring.

Be careful what you ask for, Ricky, for open challenges are open for a reason.

Yes, you read the tweet correctly; none other than Danhausen answered Starks' call, and the “Very Nice, Very Evil” one took to the ramp with a microphone of his own, telling “Richard” that he is, to paraphrase Michael Buffer, ready to rumble.

Shocked by the idea of facing his boss' son's tag team partner – if that is, in fact, still a thing – Starks backtracked on his suggestion ever so slightly, suggesting that his surgically repaired neck is acting up and that he would instead rather kick the match back a week to Fight for the Fallen, where the duo will duke it out on another one of AEW's themed summer shows.

Goodness, will Starks drop his FTW belt just two days after he becomes its all-time longest reigning champion? Or will the closest thing Danhausen gets to being the human personification of the FTW attitude be grabbing some ‘za with Hook the next time he's on Long Island? I guess we'll have to watch and see.
