After signing a max contract last July to bring his talents to the Boston Celtics, center Al Horford began his transition of moving in to his new team and new city. With a lot of adjustments to make, things became easier with the help of his teammate, Amir Johnson. The 6-foot-9 forward eased Horford's immersion to the C's culture, making him feel welcomed.

In an interview with Rich Thompson of The Boston Herald, the 30-year-old Dominican talked about how Johnson has become one of the team's leaders:

“Amir is a great teammate, and he’s one of the leaders in this locker room and the type of guy you want to play alongside. He plays really hard, and he’s really about the team, and I’ve really been impressed with him and his leadership on the team.”

Though their chemistry on the court is yet to be seen, he compared it to how it was when he started playing with Paul Millsap in Atlanta and what they did to develop it:

“It is a work in progress, and I think for Paul and me to really get clicking, it took us a long time, so I’m not rushing it. I’m just trying to feel out Amir and see how he plays, and I always talk to him about us passing the ball inside and doing different things.

The Bean Town faithful have huge expectations from their prized recruit of the offseason as they hope to see the team make a deeper run in the playoffs this year. And if their two big men work on complimenting each other on the floor, the future will look brighter than ever for the Boston Celtics.
