Indiana Pacers center Al Jefferson is a team player and he's willing to prove it.

Jefferson is willing to step into a reserve and mentorship role to help Myles Turner grow as a player.

The two have been practicing with one another, and it has left Jefferson impressed. He spoke on The Grady & Big Joe show about their workouts for the last two months.

It sucks guarding him in 5-on-5 pickup. Go back to the question you asked me earlier, about guys I didn't know were that good. Myles Turner is something special. Things that he can do as far as playing the 5 and he can play the 4 because he can shoot the three, can dribble the ball. He's like a 7-foot guard, in my opinion.

Turner spoke with Basketball Insiders in early September about having high expectations and how he believes the Pacers can finish top three in the Eastern Conference, which is quite a lofty task.
