The Alabama football team is a slight underdog in Monday's Rose Bowl against Michigan football despite Nick Saban's incredible run of success in bowl games and Jim Harbaugh's lack of success.

Alabama coaches recently implemented a strange policy believed to be in reaction to the Wolverines' Connor Stalions scandal. A photo of Saban with Harbaugh and Mickey Mouse at Disneyland has gone viral.

On Thursday in the lead-up to Monday's game, Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh was asked for his honest thoughts on Alabama football QB Jalen Milroe. His response has caused fans and media outlets to go nuts on X with accusations of Harbaugh providing bulletin board material for the Crimson Tide.

Harbaugh Compares Milroe to Michigan Football QB

Harbaugh was asked about Milroe and responded by referencing his own team's backup quarterback Alex Orji. Orji has been featured as a runner in Michigan's offense this year but has not thrown a pass.

Fans went nuts on Twitter searching for ways to paint Harbaugh's comments in a negative light, or a different perspective. Media outlets chastised Harbaugh for providing ‘bulletin board material' to Milroe and Alabama football.

“This would be like Alabama fans saying “JJ McCarthy is a more polished Tyler Buchner,” one fan said on X.

“Harbaugh was asked a question and gave an honest answer. Wasn’t meant to be a diss or a compliment IMO,” another fan added.

“Keep it up Harbaugh. Bama players are motivated by that kind of talk,” another fan said.

Milroe's Impact on Alabama football

Saban's star QB has passed for 2,718 yards on Alabama football's season with 23 touchdowns and six interceptions. The Katy, Texas native also has 468 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns on the ground this season, demonstrating his dual threat capabilities.

Harbaugh's starting QB JJ McCarthy has throw for 2,630 yards on the season with 19 TDs and 3 interceptions, along with a slightly higher QB rating of 89.3 and 146 yards on the ground.

For Alabama football to win, Milroe will have to play lights-out football against a stout Michigan defense. It's something he's fully capable of doing, if his SEC Championship Game victory over Georgia is any indication.
