Just when you thought things are back to normal in New World’s economy, Amazon once again shuts it down. The reason is due to the fact that players discovered a new exploit that gives them in-game advantages.

Players are back at it with exploit hunting in order for them to have a significant advantage in New World. Similar to the previously discovered gold dupe, players are now duplicating trophies. The duplication of trophies is a lot more concerning compared to previous exploits. Trophies are items that players can place in their purchased homes so that they can gain passive buffs. Normally it’s expensive and difficult to craft these trophies or purchase them from other players. Now with the exploit surfacing in New World, unnecessary chaos in PvP is likely to happen.

Just like the old gold dupe exploit, Amazon decided to shut down New World’s economy temporarily. The Community Manager explained in the New World Forums that the disabling of the economy is so they can investigate. This may be a bummer to many players, but it’s a good thing they’ve decided to do so. Disabling the economy means that players won’t be able to craft these trophies which disables the dupe exploit. The last time Amazon disabled the economy, it didn’t take too long before they put it back up, so we hope this issue won't persist as well.

The disabling of New World’s economy raises concerns to many players. It’s true that New World is having lots of ups and downs lately. However, this is due to players who constantly go against the rules and find the exploits themselves. Honestly speaking it’s because of the players why New World is undergoing these drastic measures. If players try to stay disciplined, New World should be an awesome game.
