Soon-to-be unrestricted free agent Andre Iguodala hinted at staying with the Golden State Warriors after talking to reporters on Thursday morning. The former Sixth Man of the Year is one of the key pieces the Warriors will need tonight to close out the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers and in the future to make another crack at an NBA title.

“In four weeks, three weeks, four weeks? I'll talk to y'all again,” Iguodala said when asked of his potential return to the team. “In July, first week of July.”

The 6-foot-6 swingman also mentioned he'd be next to Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant once he talks to the media again, a sign that Durant is willing to take less money this summer, one he has made known before the start of the NBA Finals.

Both Curry and Durant are set for extensions this summer and management likely wouldn't dare to ask Curry for another hometown discount after being the best bargain in the league, bringing a title, back-to-back MVP awards, four All-Star appearances and plenty of records in exchange for a four-year, $44 million contract.

Earlier in the series, Durant said he'd be willing to take less money in order to keep the Warriors' core intact (Iguodala and veteran point guard Shaun Livingston) — making it a much easier time for the front office to offer their two unrestricted free agents enough money to entice them to stay home.

Golden State still has some business to attend to tonight at Quicken Loans Arena, as they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 of the series, hoping to wrap things up tonight without a need for a return to their home court in Oracle Arena.

The Warriors have a chance to go 16-0 with a win tonight, but perfection isn't the thought in Iguodala's mind — but rather a long-awaited hug with the Larry O'Brien trophy.

“You don't wanna be the team who measures itself and says who's the best team to ever win it,” he said. “Once the job is completed, we'll give that thought.”
