In the last few days, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Andre Roberson has caught a significant amount of flack for giving a small tip of less than three percent on a nearly $500 bill at a restaurant.

This all came shortly after Roberson earlier this week inked a new three-year, $30 million deal to remain with the Thunder. It didn't take look for him to provide his side of the story to clear up the air concerning the situation.

This paints an entirely different picture of what actually happened that night. Roberson had essentially just paid for an overpriced item that he was looking to just bring to $500 with the tip included. If everything else he stated that he did is indeed true, Roberson would actually be an exceptional tipper.

It should erase the public perception of him being a stingy tipper despite having more than enough means to provide a reasonable tip without it affecting him. At the same time, this damage to his public image had infuriated Roberson to the point that he had to issues a thorough response to clear up the situation.

Ultimately, it just goes to show that before judgment can be publicly placed all the facts must first be known.
