Recovering from a slow start, the Miami Heat became one of the hottest teams in the league in the second half of the year. Their late-season surge put Miami into the playoff hunt, as they found themselves neck-and-neck with the Chicago Bulls and Indiana Pacers for the eighth seed in the East. But after the Pacers beat the Hawks 104-86 on Wednesday, the Heat were eliminated from the playoffs.
Atlanta likely could've been far more competitive against Indiana, but since they already locked up the fifth seed, Atlanta opted to rest Dwight Howard and Paul Millsap. This really angered Heat fans, who took their anger out on the Hawks' official Twitter account:
I'm a salty ass Heat fan we needed y'all the one time I ever wanted to route for Dwight was tonight and y'all bench him

The Hawks' Twitter account could only laugh at the saltiness stemming from Miami's supporters:
Heat fans so mad in our mentions rn 😂

This is really the only appropriate response, because who complains to a Twitter account about their team not making the playoffs?
