Playing Apex Legends Mobile in ranked mode will feature its exclusive in-game perks system for a limited time.

During Apex Legends Mobile’s beta testing days, the game was a mobile version port with limited OG features. That quickly changed when Respawn officially launched Season 1 globally back in May. Apex Legends Mobile has exclusive legends such as Fade and Rhapsody, and the game also has legends’ perks. These perks are basically similar to skill trees that provide buffs to abilities unique to each legend. The only way players can level up their favorite legend’s perks is by constantly playing as the specific legend, so it rewards the player's mastery of any particular legend.

Apex Legends Mobile’s perk system somehow provided an opportunity for players to fuse their style of gameplay with their favorite legends. However, there are instances wherein the opposing legends become stronger due to perk level gaps. With that being said, Respawn never included the perk system in the game’s ranked mode to maintain match balancing, up until this coming weekend at least. For the first time, perks will become an active feature in Apex Legends Mobile’s ranked mode from July 22-24.

Some of you might be asking the question “Why is Respawn allowing perks in ranked for only a limited time?” Our guess is that they could be testing the waters to see if perks will truly affect the flow of the match. Meaning to say, the results from this weekend could go in either of two ways. One, Respawn might permanently make perks an active feature in ranked if all goes well. Two, they keep perks exclusive to normal matches entirely.

Apex Legends Mobile’s perks system will be active in ranked mode this coming weekend from July 22-24, so take the opportunity to try your hand at those new challenges.
