Robert Horry became part of a lot of headlines last week when he got involved in a fight during his son’s 3-on-3 basketball game outside of Staples Center in Los Angeles. He was recorded on video swinging a punch at a man who pushed him and appeared to have provoked Horry into a physical confrontation.

News has now broken that the seven-time NBA champion is being investigated by LAPD as one of the suspects stemming from battery charges filed. However, no arrests have been made yet, and authorities are continuing their investigation, according to a report made by TMZ Sports.

“Ex-NBA star Robert Horry is being investigated by the LAPD over a fistfight outside of a youth basketball game at Staples Center earlier this month … TMZ Sports has learned.”

“Law enforcement sources tell us … Horry has been named a suspect — but so far, no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed. “

Horry has claimed that he is the victim in the incident and was continuously heckled, before being forced to retaliate after he was shoved. LAPD is expected to release a statement once their investigation is done, which will reveal who among the two is guilty.

The 46-year-old earned the nickname “Big Shot Bob” for his numerous game-winners throughout his 16-year NBA career. He played for four different franchises, and had a crucial role in all seven titles he won with the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, and San Antonio Spurs. He retired back in 2008 and is widely considered as one of the most clutch performers to ever play in the league.
