The NFL is seeing a record number of players being ruled out after being placed on the league COVID-19 reserve list. You can add Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson to that list. According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Allen Robinson was among six Bears players added to the list Thursday.

Joining Allen Robinson are fellow wide receiver Isaiah Coulter, tight end Jesse James, safety Eddie Jackson, linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe, and running back Ryan Nall. Losing Jackson and Iyiegbuniwe will especially hurt the defense as they prepare to face a power running team in the Minnesota Vikings.

After posting two straight 1,000 yard receiving seasons, Robinson has fallen off a cliff in 2021. Entering Week 15, he has 32 catches for 353 yards and one touchdown. Those numbers are a far cry from the production you have come to expect from Robinson. However, injuries and rookie quarterback Justin Fields have a big hand in that dip.

The Bears are set to host the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. Chicago's season is all but done. Their playoff hopes were dashed by Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers last week. The Vikings though will look to feast on the under-manned Chicago Bears team.

Minnesota is 6-7 on the season. They are tied with Washington, Philadelphia, Atlanta and New Orleans for the final wild card spot. San Francisco is 7-6 and holds the #6 seed.

Seemingly every day more and more players are being added to the league's COVID-19 reserve list. The Cleveland Browns have been decimated this week ahead of their matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday.
