Allen Robinson is seemingly growing frustrated with his contract status with the Chicago Bears, prompting him to delete all of his mentions of the Bears on social media. After passive-aggressively expressing his exasperation on social media, Robinson has reportedly asked Chicago about a possible trade, per Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.

Robinson is playing in the final year of the three-year, $42 million deal he signed with the Bears in 2018. Entering the 2020 season, Robinson is the 16th highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL in terms of average salary.

Throughout his career, Allen Robinson has played with less-than-ideal quarterback situations. Before catching passes from Mitchell Trubisky, Robinson was the No. 1 target for Blake Bortles for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Nonetheless, back in June, Robinson shared that he wasn't too concerned about his impending contract situation with the Bears. At the same time, the Pro Bowl pass-catcher iterated in June that Chicago has yet to reach out to him about an extension.

Given that, it appears that something has happened between June and now to incite Robinson to request a trade. Maybe the Bears offered Robinson a deal and the talented wideout may have felt disrespected by the numbers. Or, maybe he's just grown tireless of his situation in Chicago.

Regardless, if Robinson truly requested a trade, there are a bevy of teams in the NFL that would make offers for him. Even though Robinson has consistently stated that he isn't worried about his contract, the veteran wide receiver has reportedly shifted his mentality after just one game in the 2020 season.
