Former NBA All-Star Joe Johnson put a fitting end to what has been a remarkable BIG3 season for him and the Triplets: with a game-winning 3-pointer and the title.

Johnson called game (and season) after he buried a triple off the inbound pass to propel the Triplets over the Killer 3's for the BIG3 championship.

Iso Joe finished the game with 28 points, six rebounds and three assists — big numbers in a competition where teams need to score 50 points to win. Fellow ex-NBAer Stephen Jackson led the way for the Killer 3's with 19 points and nine boards.

Johnson was named the league MVP recently after finishing first in points (175), assists (31) and field goals (63). He was also second in three-pointers made (16). Even more remarkable, he led the BIG3 in their trademarks four-point shot, banking four from the extended range.

After showing he still has plenty left in his tank to play competitive basketball, Johnson is now expected to shift his focus on a possible NBA comeback. According to reports, teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets and New Orleans Pelicans have interest in him.

Johnson, a seven-time All-Star, has NBA career averages of 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists on a 44.1 percent shooting clip.
